Hello,

Ever since I was young I’ve always had an affinity to hats and general headgear. Growing up in the great city of Chicago I’ve amassed quite a collection of professional sports hats. They range from fitted hats to snow caps, which all are classic and properly represent my teams. However, sometime in the late 80’s hat companies started to create hats that disrespect logic, and that is impetus for this blog.

Since that time, I’ve had a mild obsession seeking out hat monstrosities both in public and on the internet and showing them to my friends. I feel that these ill-conceived hat creations have no part in society and shouldn’t be allowed to embarrass the professional sports teams they represent.

Moreover, I understand the 80’s brought about the hip-hop era and the wearing of altered professional sports hats were a part of that phenomenon. I want to make it clear that I grew up during this time and I’m still huge fan of hip-hop, but I feel that this generation gave companies the free license to create shitty hats, and somehow bamboozled professional sports to comply.

This blog is merely a commentary on terrible headgear and those with an opinion are free to join. Future posts will expose the gross hats that are out there and people who wear them.
